Homes for sale in Solana Beach “West of the 101” are situated literally no further than 0.3 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

Solana Beach Homes For Sale West of Interstate 5

Homes for sale in Solana Beach “West of the 5” extend for just under one mile, between Hwy 101 and Interstate 5.

The northern section (in and around Lomas Santa Fe Drive) is comprised mostly of single-family detached homes, while the southern section (in and around Via De La Valle) primarily consists of townhome and condo communities.

About Solana Beach

Solana Beach is a beautiful coastal North County San Diego city that is home to approximately 13,000 residents.

Located 20 miles north of downtown, the city is situated north of Del Mar, south of Cardiff-by-the-Sea and east of Rancho Santa Fe.

Much like its Del Mar neighbor, when most people think of Solana Beach, usually the first thought is of its beautiful 1.5 miles of sandy beaches (Fletcher Cove, Tide Beach Park & Seascape Surf).

However, as gorgeous and spectacular as it is along its coastline, the city actually extends 2 miles to the east as well.

The first big wave of development occured here in the 1950’s and in 1986 Solana Beach was incorporated.

With great beaches, excellent shopping, a legendary live music venue (Belly Up Tavern), interconnecting trails that run all the way to the Pacific Ocean, a popular train station, and a variety of terrific dining and bar options, it’s easy to see why so many people want to make Solana Beach their home.
