About University Heights San Diego
University Heights is a part of historic Uptown San Diego.
Developed in the early 1900’s, as popular as the neighborhood is, it is still a bit of a hidden gem to those who live in other parts of San Diego.
University Heights has a lot going on with it’s eclectic mix of independent restaurants, coffee shops, bars, galleries and boutiques.
Most of the commercial activity in the neighborhood is found on Adams Avenue and Park Boulevard.
University Heights is bordered to the north by Interstate 8, to the west by Route 163, to the east by Texas Street and to the south by Lincoln Avenue and Washington Street.
University Heights San Diego Real Estate
University Heights real estate consists of single-family detached homes (many are one-story and some have terrific views), as well as a variety of condos and townhouses.
As one of the first San Diego neighborhoods, it would be reasonable to assume that there are some historic homes to be found here.
However, what you may not expect is for University Heights to consist of four designated historic districts.
These four historic districts showcase Spanish Colonial Revival, California Ranch, Minimal Traditional, Craftsman, American Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival architectural styles.
